7th CIPSA Annual Conference: Risky Business, 12th & 13th October
15 Aug 2011
The 7th CIPSA Annual Conference, ‘Risky Business’ will be held at Crown Casino, Melbourne on 12th & 13th October 2011.
The Theme for this years Conference is Risky Business, addressing the strategic professional agenda for procurement in the keynote plenary sessions, while providing delegates with real practical deliverables and learning points through the multi-streamed tactical seminars.
The 7th CIPSA Annual Conference also sees the introduction, for the first time, of a series of half-day pre-conference workshops, providing delegates with an even greater educational experience.
About the Conference Programme
Following the successful programme format of previous years, we commence and conclude each day with Plenary/Keynote sessions, all addressing the key theme of the conference – Risky Business. In response to feedback from delegates who felt there was almost too much to do and not enough time, we have made a few small changes to the schedule from previous years, reorganising the break times, to allow delegates more opportunity to interact with the exhibitors and to network with their peers.
The five streamed seminar sessions, with five seminars in each session, is one fewer than in previous years, but with one of the seminars extended as a CPO Agenda Masterclass, to allow for greater exploration of the seminar topic. Whether you want to improve your “soft skills”, brush up your “hard skills”, learn from case studies or hear leading experts examine the big issues of the day, you will find something that will provide real benefit to you in your personal development and to your organisation’s procurement capability.
When registering, please select those seminars you wish to attend. This information is used to ensure we put the seminars in appropriately sized rooms to enable all those who want to attend to do so. Any delegates registering before the full Seminars programme is published will be contacted by CIPSA Conferences after publication to select their choices.
Pre-conference Workshops
A new feature at the 7th Annual Conference will be a series of half-day pre-conference workshops on 11th October. These six interactive workshops will focus on real issues or skills relevant to procurement practitioners daily workload. Numbers will be limited at the workshops to ensure that the interactive element is not diminished by having too many people in the room.
The Awards Dinner will be preceded by a cocktail function in the Crown Palladium Atrium.
