ALC on the Move to Sydney or Canberra

26 May 2009

The ALC Board has been working to make sure that ALC, as Australia’s national umbrella body for Transport and Logistics (T&L), continues to focus on the top priorities and deliver the best results for members, the T&L industry and the Australian economy.

The key decision from this month’s board meeting was to focus more tightly and address the issues of Regulation, Infrastructure and Influence, and to investigate innovative partnerships and other arrangements to drive forward on the current elements of the ALC work program that fall outside this new ‘core’ area. To do this best, ALC’s national office will move within the next few months out of South East Queensland and relocate to Canberra or Sydney.

The last 12-18 months have been tremendously successful for ALC in delivering on its core purpose of influencing the national freight agenda. The Board is confident that these changes will take ALC to an even higher level of performance.
