ATO issues SAP tenders

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) issued several IT tenders yesterday, calling for SAP implementation partners and seeking members for a $100 million application services panel. The tax office will look for highly experienced and qualified providers to develop applications for the ATO's Standard Operating System. The tax office is also looking to deploy a new ‘best practice’ program for its procurement activities using SAP software, and is seeking a partner to assist with implementation.

"The Australian Taxation Office will be implementing a SAP enterprise solution to support procurement and contact management across the complete life cycle," it said in the tender documents.
The two-stage roll-out of the SAP products would see SAP Enterprise Modelling and SAP Productivity Pak deployed, and would also see a detailed SAP implementation blueprint drawn up and executed over the period of the contract.
