Australia Post procurement responds to pace of e-commerce

Australia Post will continue to adapt its procurement processes in order to keep pace with the demands of online consumers.

Chairman David Mortimer said the company’s delivery service is planning to increase its investment in the courier business so as to keep up with the ever-increasing demands of online consumers.

"The parcel business is growing quite rapidly, which means you have capacity issues to deal with," Mortimer said.
"We have got to adjust the structure of the business, which is being done at this very moment," he said.
