Billabong to use central procurement processes to streamline global supply chain

Iconic Australian brand Billabong has signed a deal to replace its legacy enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, which is set to help streamline the company’s supply chain across Australia, North America, Japan, South Africa and Brazil.

The centralised system will enable improved and efficient procurement processes, helping to consolidate enterprise data that was until now stored regionally in separate ERP systems.

“Due to the way in which our business has grown globally across the various regions, countries and brands, core processes such as accounting, purchasing, inventory management and sales ordering have until now largely been supported by different applications,” Billabong international systems project manager, John Austin, said.
