Business information group acquires entry into electronics supply chain markets

IHS Inc, a provider of business information and analysis, said it has agreed to buy technology research firm iSuppli Corp, a firm known for its research and forecasts that cover the entire electronics value chain. With this acquisition, IHS gains customers across Europe, China, Japan, Korea and Taiwan and improves its ability to offer information in the electronics, manufacturing and supply chain markets.

IHS, which publishes technical journals for a wide array of sectors, has made a series of acquisitions this year to increase its expertise in the chemical industry, alternative energy, automotive markets and its environmental business.
