YCH opens $54m supply chain facility in China

Supply chain company YCH Group held a groundbreaking ceremony Friday for its new supply chain facility in Xiamen, China. The US$40 million ($54 million) XPD-YCH DistriPark project is a joint venture with the Xiamen Port Development and is expected to be completed by the end of next year.
The project is located in the Xiamen Xiangyu Bonded Logistics Park (BLP) and is expected to serve the logistics needs of various multinational manufacturers and suppliers in the area. The bonded warehouse facility features advanced security systems high-rise rackings and reach-trucks which will be useful for players in the electronics, IT and high-tech industries, YCH said. "Xiamen is set to become a regional economic powerhouse with its strong manufacturing capabilities and close links to Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau," said YCH Group Chairman and chief executive officer Dr Robert Yap.
