Chinese manufacturing data points to production decline

Chinese manufacturing data indicates that the booming economy of Australia’s biggest trade partner is slowing.
The HSBC flash manufacturing procurement managers index, which tracks forward orders, was at its lowest for 10 months, continuing the downward trend of the past few months.

"Manufacturers continued to de-stock in response to slowing new business flows, slowing production growth to a 10-month low," HSBC said this week.
