CIPS Christchurch Committee announce April 14 event postponement

The Christchurch Committee recently had its first meeting since Christchurch’s magnitude 6.3 earthquake on 22 February and made the decision to postpone the Supplier Relationships Management event planned for 14th April.

The event is due to be rescheduled for the second half of May 2011, which will formally re-launch the CIPS 2011 Programme. The Committee will be providing updates once the final date, speaker and location is confirmed.

However the original date, 14th April, will be keep as an informal ‘net working only’ event – to have a drink, catch-up and discuss life and business with others.

The Committee has, or is about to, undergo a number of changes. Craig Williams left us earlier in the year and has returned to Australia.

We also wish to advise that sadly Karen Speirs is leaving the Christchurch procurement and supply chain community for a new recruitment role in Singapore. Karen was one of the founding Christchurch Committee members and has been influential in the success of CIPS. 

The Committee is currently reviewing its structure and we expect to announce more changes in the near future.
