CIPS and TAFE Queensland Regional Network team to develop qualifications and programmes06 Apr 2011CIPS Australia and TAFE Queensland Regional (TQR) are collaborating to maintain and develop a co-operative relationship associated with the professional development programmes across the procurement and supply chain management discipline. A Memorandum of Understanding between the two parties was signed on the 31st of March to mark this joint effort. The partnership will aim to map the current CIPS qualification levels to Vocational Education and Training (VET) Nationally Accredited qualifications, plus the development of an introductory supply chain qualification as an entry point suitable for Australian and international standards. The aim is to have a range of dual badged qualifications to address skills shortages in the supply chain aspects of the resource sector. The partnership also marks a significant move towards CIPS Australia’s profressionalisation agenda which is aimed at developing procurement and supply chain management as a profession and enabling pathways towards achieving full membership of the Institute (MCIPS).
