CIPS Australasia PP Awards 201104 May 2011CIPS Australasia is calling for entires to the CIPS Australasia 2011 Procurement Professional Awards which will be held at the Crown Palladium, Melbourne, on the 12th October. This year’s awards will feature new categories and an expanded criteria, with deadline for entries Friday, 29th July. The awards are an integral event that highlight the many great contributions that the procurement profession is making to organisations in both the private and public sectors, CIPS Australasia Managing Director, Jonathan Dutton FCIPS, said. The awards will stress the importance of recognising outstanding achievers within the procurement profession. “Procurement may be the fastest growing profession in business, but its individual practitioners rarely promote their hard-earned achievements or accept due recognition,” Dutton said. “The CIPS Australasia Procurement Professional Awards are just a step in the right direction towards correcting this imbalance,” he said. The judging criteria for the awards will recognise the broad range of skill areas in which procurement professionals excel. These areas include project management, negotiation, supplier management, cost reduction, process improvement, individual initiative, teamwork and growth. The attached document also offers tips on entering from the Chair of Judges, Bill Aukett. Email alerts will be sent out to members as registration for the conference approaches and progress will be updated regularly at www.cipsaconferences.com.au. The attached document outlines the various awards categories, where and how to register entries and judging panel and criteria for the awards. |
