CIPS Mentoring Programme up and running

In a first for CIPS Australia, the SA Committee has introduced a Mentoring Programme for procurement professionals in South Australia.

A number of experienced procurement practitioners have kindly offered to act as mentors, some of whom have already been paired with a mentee and are currently sharing their time and knowledge with those seeking further professional development. 

The Programme offers mentees the opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners, expand their informal networks and discuss work /career issues in a supportive, non-judgmental environment. It also provides CIPSA leaders with an opportunity to contribute back to the profession.

The CIPSA Mentoring Programme is being pilotted in SA and it is hoped the Programme will be operating on a national level by late 2010.
