The challenge - benchmarking you performance
One of the continual challenges faced by many businesses is benchmarking your category performances. The CIPS WA Committee warmly invites you to hear how Purchasing Index (PI) provides benchmarking and other support services. PI has supported clients from a number of industries on four continents and has worked with CIPS members in the UK and Australia since the inception of CIPS in both countries. PI will explain and demonstrate how companies own systems data and supplier transaction level data can be used to confidently benchmark one’s category performance and identify process improvements and saving opportunities.
Examples will be shown from Australian national benchmarking in various industry sectors and ways for category managers to adopt more proactive category management. Common stakeholder reporting dashboards will also be demonstrated for use by procurement to inform management about procurement performance and to guide stakeholder behaviour.
Speaker
Paul Jamieson, Business solutions manager of Purchasing Index has assisted numerous procurement professionals with contemporary business solutions. He has a strong focus on delivering market intelligence through benchmarking. Paul works with clients to develop procurement solutions that enable the identification of better processes and practices and assists clients with spend measurement.
