NZ District Health Boards launch collaborative dental procurement project

New Zealand’s 21 District Health Boards launched a collaborative procurement project for dental equipment, under which 94 mobile dental surgeries will be built in tree years. Lead chief executive Phil Cammish said benefits were financial and practical.

“Dental therapists will be able to move from location to location knowing the equipment they are using is the same wherever they work. That type of standardisation ultimately means greater safety for the patients.”
