Entries now open for CIPSA Essay Competition 201031 Mar 2010Submissions for the 2010 CIPSA Essay Competition are now open, with a prize of $2500 and an all expenses paid trip to the 6th Annual CIPSA Procurement Conference in Melbourne this October up for grabs.
The prize will be formally awarded at the 2010 Procurement Professional Awards Dinner at Crown Palladium in Melbourne on October 13th during the annual conference. The annual competition, supported by Curtin university of Technology and Rio Tinto, provides an opportunity for people in procurement to explore some of the most interesting issues and questions facing the profession. Last year?s winner, Procurement Specialist Alana Tweddle from Bluescope Steel, addressed the potential implications of carbon trading for procurement. Her essay, Emission Impossible, is available to read along with other past winners and submissions on the CIPSA website. Entries close at 5pm on Friday August 6th and must be emailed to marketing@cipsa.com.au. You do not have to be a CIPSA member to enter.
