Fresh Connection winner announced

The team from Philip Morris has been announced the winner of the inaugural APICS Fresh Connection competition, which included a list of 16 finalists.

Over the past two months, 170 supply chain professionals have been competing in The Fresh Connection National Competition.

The winning team consisted of Ang Kafritsas, Yen Tran, Guru Koteeswaren, and Paul Spencer, all of whom are hugely excited to be representing Australia.

“Managing The Fresh Connection for seven weeks presented us with many of the challenges we face in our daily jobs, and the learning has been sensational. To win is such an honour and claiming the title of Australia’s Best Supply Chain Team is a great credit to my team,” said Paul Spencer.
 
“The Fresh Connection presents a hugely innovative means to learn, have fun, and compete. My team won as we focussed on keys to success in The Fresh Connection and real life, that being the importance of team work and communication,” said Ang Kafritsas.
 
In September Philip Morris will represent Australia in Italy at the Global Final of The Fresh Connection. Meanwhile, the University of Western Sydney will represent Australian universities in Amsterdam.
