Great opportunity to gain recognition for your travel programme

03 Mar 2010

Does your organisation’s travel programme measure up? If you’ve got your travel spend under control and are also managing to keep your travellers happy and productive, your programme may be among Australasia’s best.

Nominations have opened for the 2010 BTTB Travel Management Awards, the only independent awards open to all industry players and recognising excellence in corporate travel.

At a time of enormous economic stress and growing cost pressure, the demands on all sides of the supply chain have increased. Despite the challenges, there is still plenty of innovation, and the awards will again recognise buyers who have found opportunities in hardship and met the needs of all stakeholders.

The awards will be presented at a gala dinner at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney on 5th May, forming part of BTTB Australia 2010, the region’s leading dedicated conference and trade show.

After a very challenging period for all in the travel sector, BTTB Australia 2010, will examine strategies to cope with the recent dramatic changes and to ensure that travel managers have the capacity to absorb any other shocks on the horizon.
The two-day programme brings together practitioners, leading providers from the region and independent consultants for a high-level exchange which will probe current best practice. As usual, there will be a mix of plenary sessions and interactive workshops where delegates can learn about the latest developments – and how their peers are managing and mastering them.

There is also plenty of excitement about another BTTB first this year: the debut “mobile technology shoot-out”, a live demonstration of the very latest travel solutions delivered to mobile phones. Delegates will experience technology not yet commercially available as well as some tools already changing the shape of travel.
