Free green purchasing expo in Melbourne28 Jul 2009You already know that buying green makes good sense – not only does it help reduce your organisation’s environmental impacts, but it can also reduce your costs and demonstrate leadership to staff, suppliers, customers and the wider community.
Dr Kate Auty, Victoria’s new Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability, and Nick Bez, Director of the Mobium Group, are guest speakers. Victoria is one of the few jurisdictions in the world to have an independent environmental commissioner, and Dr Auty’s role is to audit and report on the Government’s environmental performance and advocate a long-term view of policy development. The Mobium Group is a market research consultancy with a specific focus and expertise in understanding what motivates Australians to make healthier, more sustainable lifestyle choices. Since 2007, the firm has surveyed more than 20,000 Australians to understand their values, attitudes and actions with respect to health and sustainability. The Green Purchasing Expo is free to attend but you do need to register and places are on a first come, first served basis. Click here to register. Where: Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, 250 – 290 Spring Street, East Melbourne, VIC 3002 Schedule
