Honda Australia looks to strengthen supply chain after affected year

Car maker Honda is looking to restore its Australian supply chain, after a disastrous year amid the Japanese earthquake and tsunami and the floods in Thailand, with sales in Australia slipping by 25 per cent. 

Eighty per cent of Honda's cars come from Thailand, but flooding there lumbered the company with "serious issues" in manufacturing and supply.

Honda has moved at a record pace to implement a recovery plan for its Australian business.
