Australian engineering and construction company, Jacobs Engineering Group, has received a $21.8 million contract from Mason Resource Corporation, a subsidiary of Mason Group Corporation.

The scope of services for the project includes engineering and procurement for a new minerals processing facility at a poly-metallic (tungsten, bismuth, fluorspar, copper and gold) deposit, which will be mined using conventional open-pit methods and equipment.

The project is located approximately 50 miles northwest of Hanoi, in the Dai Tu District of Thai Nguyen Province of Northern Vietnam.

In addition, Jacobs has also received a contract from Huntsman Corporation and Zamil Group Holding Company to provide front end engineering and design (FEED) services for a Morpholine and Diglycolamine Agent (DGA) unit located in Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

Officials did not disclose the contract value, however noted that Jacobs is executing the project from its offices in Houston, Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and Mumbai, India.

“We are delighted to grow our relationship with Huntsman and Zamil in their joint effort to expand investment in the Middle East and support production of high value-added chemicals,” Mike Autrey, vice president of Jacobs, said.
