This ASX listed organisation has a unique opportunity for a senior procurement professional of the highest calibre. This exciting role will enhance Procurement image and reputation across the organisation and manage the strategic procurement and planning to ensure efficient and effective results.
You will be working within all levels of the business and must have a proven track record of Procurement wins as well as being able to use your stakeholder relationship management skills to influence change within the business. You must be able identify procurement opportunities and develop strategies accordingly, undertake tender evaluation, supplier negotiations and selection.
Prior experience working within a progressive yet complex Strategic Sourcing function is essential for candidates applying for these positions. A demonstrable track record of negotiating successful outcomes is critical as will be your well-developed interpersonal skills. To be considered for this role you must have a strong commercial acumen with a proven track record, you must be able to negotiate a senior level and also influence innovative concepts to your peers.
You will be a strong influencer who can sell the value of procurement to all levels of the business; you will integrate into the business and bring integrity and expertise to the role in terms of your influencing capability. You will be seen as a colleague to the senior management and be able to challenge thinking and see new opportunities within the business areas.
Skill and experience required:
- Experience in managing strategic change and working with demanding stakeholders to create value
- A full understanding within Strategic Sourcing and Category management
- Experience in Implementation of business improvement initiatives
- Solid experience within supply chain and inventory management
- Ability to encourage compliance and governance across number of business units.
- Superior negotiation and communication skills
- Exceptional commercial business acumen
As the centre of expertise you will provide high level advice on management issues to a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be well experienced in supplier management, contract negotiation and demand management, with excellent engagement and presentation skills. Your natural ability to build lasting relationships with stakeholders and influence decisions will bring you success in this role.
