About our Client Michael Page's client is a market leader with operations around the country and throughout the world. Their leadership team has recently placed specific focus on their procurement and this role is a part of a new direction within the business's strategic sourcing. Job Description Working with senior members of the procurement team you will focus on the execution of category and related sourcing strategies which are aimed at establishing a supplier base capable of delivering maximum value to and ensuring the success of the business’s initiatives within IT.
You will use detailed market analysis and profiling to support the development of the IT procurement category. This will include supplier relationship management (SRM) developing KPIs, and conducting supplier performance and contract reviews.
You will also support the development and roll out of procurement systems and tools.
Your key responsibilities include: - Approval and selection of suppliers
- Approval of contracts, SLAs and KPIs
The Successful Applicant The successful applicant will be tertiary qualified with demonstrated experience in sourcing, contract management and supplier relationship management, this includes having formulated KPI’s and SLA’s within IT.
You will be able to lead strategic sourcing projects, contract development, supplier management and develop key procurement metrics reporting. You will also having a sound grasp of procurement methodologies and an IT technical understanding that allows you to drive procurement throughout the IT area and bring stakeholders on board, challenging the status quo and improving supplier engagement and utilisation.
