About our Client

Our client operates one of Australia's premier gold mines in residential Western Australia. They are an international conglomerate and have the financial backing and ore deposits to see them well past 2020 at current rate.

Job Description

As Contracts Officer you will be involved in the preparation, negotiation and administering of contracts to fulfill the commercial and legal requirements of the organization. You will be required to co-ordinate the full contract process from developing scopes of work through to final award for a combination of both goods and services. You will seek to identify and pursue cost savings initiatives within the contracts to reduce expenditure where possible.

The Successful Applicant

In order to be successful for this role you will have between 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role preferably within the resources sector. It is required that you have superior negotiation skills within a commercial environment resulting in favourable outcomes. You will also have experience in the application and interpretation of contract law as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
