Last chance to register for IFPSM (northern) summer school

Limited places are available for PhD students wishing to attend the 16th IFPSM Summer School, Salzburg 2011, which will take place on 7-12 July. 

The Summer School is intended:
• to help participants in defining relevant research topics and powerful methods
• to provide a forum for talented young scholars from various regions of the world for exchanging ideas and establishing a research network
• to promote the profession of purchasing and materials management by contributing to the creation of high standard dissertation of the participants.

The following academics will present to guide and develop PhD student attendees this year:

• Giovanni Atti (ADACI, I)
• Attila Chikán (Corvinus University of Budapest, H)
• Simon R. Croom (University of San Diego, USA)
• Richard Lamming (University of Exeter, UK - to be confirmed)
• Michiel R. Leenders (Richard Ivey School of Business, C)
• Morten Munkgaard Moeller (Aalborg University, DK)
• John Ramsay (Staffordshire University, UK)
• Frank Rozemeijer (Maastricht University, NL)
• Helen Walker (Cardiff Business School, UK)


The summer school is an amazing opportunity and an excellent way to establish a relationship with the academics of tomorrow, especially if you are able to make a contribution to the costs of your students to participate.

All you need to do is engage with your national universities, identify a deserving student and encourage their participation, sponsored or otherwise, and all they need to do is submit the completed attached application form.

The cost for full board and lodging is $AUD1,000 for 5 days. The only other costs are for travel to and from Salzburg, and any other personal expenditure.
