Leading Australian economist added to Smart Conference 2011 line up

The latest addition to this year’s Smart Conference speaker line-up is Chris Richardson, a leading Australian economist.

An expert in the Australian and global economies, Chris is a Director of Deloitte Access Economics, heading up the Macroeconomics Policy and Forecasting Group.

Chris is set to explore our two-speed world, where the emerging economies dominate developed nations; and the two-speed Australia, with mining and construction stealing a march on most other sectors.

He will argue there is also a two-speed pace of business investment spending in Australia, with the infrastructure outlook dominated by the resource sector and the flow-on impact of that to port, road and rail capacity.
