Three logistics industry specialists will present at SCLAA’s Logistics Lounge event on Thursday 25th March at 6.30pm in South Melbourne.
Three highly regarded experts will provide insights into how the industry is gearing up to tackle employment issues now and in the future.
School of Management Lecturer Dr Tim Butcher will present a route map to the logistics workforce of the future and his findings from a research project funded by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport UK.
Economic Geographer Dr Prem Chhetri will explore employment issues within the logistics industries and use his findings to address complex questions within this field.
Political Economist Dr Victor Gekara will examine skill development and replenishment and explains why he believes a more formalised competency based training approach for some of the key and critical skills is imperative.
