Register for CIPSA event in Newcastle: Supply Chain in Today's World

01 Sep 2009

Developing procurement strategy and avoiding unethical recruiters are on the agenda at Supply Chain in Today’s World, CIPS Australia’s annual Newcastle and Hunter region professional development event.

Designed to share experience-based insights with local procurement and supply chain professionals, the programme features international speaker and Schenck Process Pty Ltd national procurement manager Andrew Melville, and peoplefusion director Ali Kimmorley.

Andrew Melville will discuss everything from opportunity assessment to contracting and negotiations.  He will cover governance and include tips for tender, RFP, RFQ and EOI activities.

In outlining how to avoid unethical recruiters, Ali Kimmorley will address the ethical position recruiters should take in relation to privacy laws and what can be done when a recruiter acts in an unethical manner.  She will recommend ways to prevent this behaviour occurring and ways to put a stop to it quickly when it does.

This event is on Thursday 17 September at Crowne Plaza Hotel on the corner of Merewether St and Wharf Rd from 5.30pm. Anyone wishing to attend can book online here or contact CIPS Australia on events@cipsa.com.au or 1300 765 142.
