New training landscape for Victorian Government procurement25 Feb 2011In line with the decommissioning of the Procurement and Contracting Centre for Education and Research (PACCER), the Victorian Government is referring government procurement people to the Victorian Government Procurement website for the latest information on training and education options. The provision of training is supplied through the national network of registered training organisations (RTOs) which now provides learning pathways in procurement and contract management that offer significantly more units of competency that the PACCER program. The opportunity to complete AQF qualifications is also on offer. This network creates a two-fold option for foundation learning. “The benefits of this is that it is effectively widening the choice of options for government procurement people to build their procurement capability which directly supports the national professionalisation agenda. Qualifications are offered through both the vocational and higher education sectors,” Angelina Pillai, Head of Education at CIPS Australasia, said. Visit the Victorian Government Procurement site for more information regarding the national network of RTOs and the Victoria Registration and Qualifications Authority. |
