Two new CIPSA white papers released

Today at the 5th CIPSA Annual Conference, CIPS Australia has released two new white papers; The CIPSA - Portland Group Strategic Procurement Survey 2009 and The Top 20 websites in the world of procurement.

A copy of each will be included with the October edition of Procurement Professional magazine.  They are also available to CIPSA members online here.

CIPSA white papers continue to grow the body of knowledge available to procurement professionals in the region. They provide information, tools and insight that can add value to practitioners’ everyday work and spread understanding of procurement beyond the immediate profession.

The CIPSA - Portland Group Strategic Procurement Survey 2009

This new research includes a summary of best practices, common challenges and improvement opportunities encountered across a range of leading Australasian corporate and government bodies. 

Building on the success of CIPSA and Portland Group’s first large scale review of procurement in the region in 2006, the 2009 survey is even more comprehensive in scope. 

It highlights the key issues currently facing the Australasian procurement profession and those that are likely to have increasing impact in the future, and also takes account of the global financial crisis and its impact on local procurement trends.

The Top 20 websites in the world of procurement

A quick, easy-to-use snapshot of the best that the web has to offer to procurement professionals today. 

The Top 20 websites have been selected on the basis of their free content; with consideration given to depth, quality, accessibility of information and relevance to Australia and New Zealand.

Although this is by no means a definitive list, the Top 20 websites would each add value to any busy procurement professional’s favourites folder, effectively creating their own ‘desktop’ body of knowledge.
