NSW councils to trial new procurement technology

The NSW Local Government Procurement has announced it will implement a new Australian technology in 160 local councils to improve the process of accessing and managing suppliers. The technology, a web based Software as a Service platform, will be trialed this month and will target struggling areas of procurement, including professional services and maintenance repairs and operations. General manager of NSW LGP, Brian O’Mara, said that the software’s mission is to make the procurement process easier for councils and their preferred suppliers.
