Poor data hinders UK procurement teams: poll

Procurement teams in the UK do not have access to the data they need to make the right purchasing decisions, the majority of buyers who responded to the UK SM100 poll admitted.

When asked whether their procurement function had access to all the data it needed to inform spending decision, 68 per cent of purchasers said they did not.

Some said they lacked access to overall spend data for each commodity, which limits the success they can achieve from tendering.
