Procurement professionals reveal 2012 priorities

Procurement professionals will be concentrating on cost cutting and supplier relationship management (SRM) in 2012.

Those who took part in the UK originated survey were asked to rank nine activities (including costing cutting and SRM) in order of importance, according to the Supply Management Reader Research Survey 2011.

More than 3,000 people who responded said reducing spend was the priority for the new year, with SRM coming in next, while better stakeholder management emerged as the third top area of attention for 2012.
