Finance Minister demands "quality public sector procurement"09 Jun 2009The full programme has been released for the 4th CIPSA Public Sector Procurement Forum, including an introduction from The Hon Lindsay Tanner MP, Minister for Finance and Deregulation, in which he stresses the importance of "receiving the best value for every dollar spent". He continues..."In today’s tough economic climate there is absolutely no room for waste or inefficiencies in government expenditure. At a time when government revenue has been drastically reduced, it is more important than ever that Australian citizens receive the best value for every dollar spent....." and concludes with..."This forum is a great opportunity for those involved in public sector procurement to discuss the ideas and initiatives that will drive further savings and efficiencies in the procurement of goods and services.
