Qantas fined $5 million for air cargo price fixing

Qantas has been ordered to pay a record $5 million fine for price-fixing by the New Zealand High Court in Auckland.

The penalty was proposed by Qantas as part of a pre-trial settlement in an air cargo price-fixing case.
New Zealand's competition watchdog says airlines colluded on fuel surcharges on international cargo flights between 2000 and 2006.
