Santos picks Fluor as preferred LNG contractor

Santos Ltd (STO.AX) has selected U.S. firm Fluor Corp (FLR.N) as its preferred contractor to do engineering, procurement and construction works for the upstream portion of its gas export project in Queensland.
Santos, operator of the proposed Gladstone liquefied natural gas (LNG) project to be fed by coal-seam gas, said on Friday it expects to award the contract subject to a final investment decision on the multi-billion development.
