SA members' survey results to shape 2010 agenda

The South Australia and Northern Territory CIPSA regional committee will use the results from its recent member survey to shape the local programme of events for 2010.

SA and NT CIPSA members who took part in the survey are particularly interested in hearing from other procurement specialists about contemporary issues and gaining insights from business leaders.  They have identified sustainability and social responsibility in procurement, category management and supply chain vulnerability as current significant issues for the profession.

The committee is pleased to see a large proportion of members attending multiple SA and NT CIPSA events each year.  Many see regional events as an integral component of professional development, with more than three quarters of respondents attending to support their own development. 

Respondents expressed a strong preference for events outside of work hours; evening or breakfast events.  Networking remains an important component of regional events and with the depth of procurement experience in the SA and NT CIPSA community, there is a huge amount of combined knowledge to share.
