Saudi Arabia central to GE Supply Chain

General Electric plans to make Saudi Arabia its manufacturing and supply chain hub in the Islamic World as the company pushes to increase it’s revenue in the kingdom from last years $3 billion. Akram Hamad, GE’s president for the Gulf region stated that Saudi Arabia is implementing a $400 billion five-year spending program to boost economic growth and build infrastructure.  GE has signed a strategic partnership with the Saudi Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the company will treat Saudi Arabia as a global supply-chain and manufacturing centre, Mr Hamad declared.
