SciQuest Inc, a leading provider of on-demand strategic procurement and supplier enablement solutions, today unveiled significant product enhancements that enable organizations to more effectively participate in buying consortia and group purchasing organizations. Included in the latest release of the company’s source-to-settle procurement automation solutions, the new features and functionality make it easier for organizations to capitalize on the purchasing power of entire communities.

“Organizations today realize there is strength in numbers,” said Stephen Wiehe, president and CEO of SciQuest. “Historically there was no easy way for groups to easily share, access or use consortia contracts – nor was it possible for those who negotiated them to know how much spending occurred through the agreements they put in place. The latest release of our solutions suite addresses both of these challenges head on.”

Some of the many additional product enhancements included in the latest release of SciQuest include new functionality that returns the correct search results even in the face of misspelled search terms. Users and procurement leaders can now also apply numerous search filters at the same time to ensure that the absolute best purchasing decision is identified in results based on a wide range of criteria, from price to mission imperatives such as support for local businesses or use of environmentally-friendly products.
