SCLAA announces new National Deputy Chairman

26 Mar 2009

The Supply Chain and Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA) announced today that David Rogers has been elected by the Directors to take up the Position of National Deputy Chairman.

According to the SCLAA National Board this very important move forms an integral part of Board succession planning for Australia’s premier Supply Chain and Logistics Association. It is now expected that David Rogers will succeed David Doherty as the current Chairman of the SCLAA in coming months.

David Rogers has been a Director of SCLAA Ltd for two years, and prior to that served in executive positions with the Victorian Division of the Association. David currently works for the Fosters Group based in Melbourne. David has a Masters Degree and Diploma of Transport and Distribution from RMIT.

According to David Doherty, OAM, who is the National Chairman of the SCLAA “David Rogers has earned the respect of his peers in the profession and industry through his knowledge, broad and varied practical experience and his can-do attitude.”

“David is a leader and progressive thinker who will bring his learning and insights to bear on the continuing development of the SCLAA and best practice in the profession. We look forward, with anticipation, to his future endeavours and leadership.”

“I would be remiss if I did not record my appreciation also for the great service rendered to SCLAA by Steve MacPherson who has been Chairman, and more recently Deputy Chairman. His contribution has been exemplary.” Mr Doherty said.
