SCLAA to visit Qld Health

The Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia will visit Queensland Health at a site visit at the Richlands Distribution Centre on Wednesday the 16th of March.

By the end of 2013, Richlands DC will be holding 3000+ stocked inventory clinical consumables servicing all QH facilities north to Rockhampton, south to the Gold Coast and west thereof. With such a major change in service delivery strategy, the ‘big bang’ transition was always going to be too risky.

To allow a staged transition, the initial warehouse layout had to be flexible enough to cope with significant customer growth, new transport models, aligned with the introduction of new systems and equipment.

Enter site via ‘Entry Only’ gate. At boom gate intercom, press Shared Services Office button and Kristy will direct you to rear of the building car park. Enter SSP Offices via intercom and proceed upstairs to reception for signing in and induction.
