Re-defining the role of supply chain jobs

Supply chain jobs need to be at the heart of businesses' operations to achieve success, a new global study of procurement and supply chain officers has found.

The 2010 Chief Supply Chain Officer Report from SCM World has found that the role of supply chain executives has had to adapt to global economic and technological advances.

After surveying 400 senior global supply chain and procurement officers, the report noted several key areas where the role can contribute to a successful company.
