Crackdown on outsourcing under 'sham contracting'

Australia’s Fair Work Ombudsman Nick Wilson this week warned that Australian employers could face large fines and reputation damage if caught outsourcing work performed under sham contracting arrangements.
It comes after two companies, Telco Services Australia Pty Ltd and Trimatic Contact Services Pty Ltd faced prosecution for sham contract deals involving call centre workers and door-to-door salespeople.
