Smart Awards 2011 deadline extended to 7th March

Time is running out to nominate your organisation for this year’s Smart Awards.

The Smart Awards recognise outstanding achievement and excellence in procurement, as well as in supply chain and logistics management. Nominations for the Smart Awards 2011 now close on Monday, 7th March.

This year’s awards will be presented at the Supply Chain Industry Gala Dinner on 26th May in Darling Harbour, Sydney and are a highlight of Smart Conference and Expo 2011.

CIPS, together with other major industry associations, will judge the Smart Awards in five categories:
• The Award for Excellence in Procurement. This award will consider procurement excellence within the context of the overall supply chain flow from the supplier to the consumer. The way in which the procurement contribution has benefited all stakeholders in the procurement process will be considered.
• The Award for Excellence in Supply Chain Management and Distribution.
• The Award for Excellence in Transport and Logistics.
• The Award for Excellence in Manufacturing Supply Chains.
• Specifically for NSW organisations is The Award for Excellence in Supply Chain Innovation in New South Wales.
