Smart Research Forum announced18 Apr 2011The Smart Research Forum will be held immediately before the Smart Conference on Tuesday, 24th May, from 8.30am until 5.30pm The Smart Research Forum takes delegates to the front of supply chain research, with presentations from leading sector academics. This will be a timely and vital forum for all supply chain and logistics practitioners, academics, government and industry representatives, educators and other interested parties, as it will help drive new ideas and create new ways of working. Closing Research Forum speaker will be Dr John Gattorna , Adjunct Professor, MGSM, Supply Chain Thought Leader, author and CIPSA Foundation Professor. He said all papers presented at this year’s Research Forum have undergone a rigorous peer review process to ensure they are of premium quality, as well as being relevant and interesting to the audience. The program for the Smart 2011 Research Forum has just been revealed, and presenters include: • Jongkil (Jay) Jeong, University of Melbourne Topics will range from business-university partnerships and communication in supply chains to innovation; establishing trust through language; identifying green supply chain management initiatives; supply chain management in the Indonesian grocery industry and Australian beef industry; and a case study on transportation of ‘sticky coal’.
