South African government contracts scrutinised for procurement irregularities

South African investigators have confirmed that a number of contracts tendered by South African Department of Public Works are being scrutinised for 'procurement irregularities'.

The country's Special Investigation Unit (SIU) has told SM it is looking into two deals put in place in preparation for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
