The PPonline Supplier DirectoryThe PPonline Supplier Directory is designed to provide procurement professionals with an easy-to-use reference tool for sourcing key suppliers and to provide suppliers with the opportunity to ensure their name is front of mind when buyers are looking to identify new suppliers. To see an example of what a directory listing will look like, please click on either the "management consultants" or "purchasing cards" links in the box to the right. (These examples have been copied from the Directory at our sister site www.bttbonline.com ) The Navigation index for the Directory will grow as more organisations are listed. For information on how to list your organisation please click here Categories of Supply The directory will fall into two broad categories: • Facilitators/Service Providers Facilitators/Service Providers This category is for those suppliers of services that assist procurement professionals and their organisations to do their job. Obvious suppliers that spring to mind are consultants, providers of software or online services, card providers, training services, recruitment companies, benchmarking providers and outsourced process providers. Category Suppliers This category applies to those organisations who supply goods and/or services across the wide range of categories managed by procurement personnel. While most of these categories would be termed “indirect categories” that are required by most organisations, their will be provision for suppliers to list information on common “direct purchases”. For the purposes of the directory we define “indirects” as those supplies common to most organisations that are required for the day-to-day operations of the business, while “directs” are those supplies that are only incurred as a direct result of the nature of the business being conducted. While not an exclusive list, the following indirect categories obviously spring to mind: office equipment, stationery, travel, IT & T, professional services, marketing services, energy, fuel, fleet, facilities, security, workwear/uniforms, waste management, recycling, cleaning, etc. etc. |
