Improved planning nationally and economic reform of road and rail pricing can help unlock productivity in Australia’s supply chains, according to major transport reviews released for public comment.

Australia’s business sector plans its supply chain operations globally across all modes from ‘paddock to plate’ and ‘mine to port’. In contrast, transport planning is largely state-based and involves multiple agencies and levels of government.
