Procurement of 'traffic light' food labels would be too costly: govt

The Federal Government has decided that the procurement of the ‘traffic light’ food labels would be too costly and that the costs would be passed onto farmers.

"The changes, should they have gone ahead, would otherwise add a whole new level of food labelling requirement, unnecessary cost and complexity," the National Farmers Federation’s Jack Laurie said.
