Nobody needs to be told that the world has changed significantly since our last BTTB Australia Conference in May 2008. Organisations in both the private and public sectors are striving to cut costs and maximise their return on investment for every dollar spent.

Since BTTB’s inception in 2000 we have seen a number of swings in the business cycle, with the travel industry usually quite hard hit in downturns, but always demonstrating great resilience and “bouncebackability”.  One thing we have always seen though is that business’ do need to travel, no matter how tough times are. The trick is in managing the process as efficiently as possible to meet business goals.

With this in mind, the programme for BTTB Australia 2009 has been developed to focus even more than usual on the key issues related to managing costs and delivering value to all stakeholders.
