Victorian opposition slams manufacturing proposal

A Victorian Government proposal that would change manufacturing procurement rules has been slammed by the state opposition.

The proposal to dump the requirement forcing government departments to consider Victorian jobs when awarding tenders for major manufacturing projects would drive a stake through the heart of the industry, the state opposition said.
